Whether your tool is Skype, FaceTime, GoToMeeting, or Facebook Chat, the classroom is now worldwide! The myriad of video conferencing tools allow you to connect with individuals and groups globally! I have used Facebook chat to connect with World War II and Korean War Veteran Edward Amy Sr. He is 85 years old and lives in Baton Rouge, LA. He also happens to be my grandfather in law! Students prepared questions in advanced and we had an informal chat as he sat around his kitchen table! Students were able to come up to laptop and ask their questions individually. I know this is an experience neither will forget!
